Happy First day of Fall!

"Most folks are about as happy as they make their minds up to be." Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States. Isn't that a good quote? And so very true. Happiness and joy is not about your circumstances, it is about what is in your heart. True joy only comes from the Lord and having full faith and trust in Him. It is deciding each day that you will praise God each day and be happy and content in Him. I have been in need of that reminder lately! I have been letting circumstances affect my mood all day and my whole outlook. Basically, I have been a blob the past few months. Well, no more! :)

So, today, I have eaten junk. I started off sorta good at breakfast with a nectarine and a light, 100-cal english muffin with all-natural peanut butter. For my 10am snack I had a protein bar. This is when it went all down hill. I got hungry before my noon lunch with some friends so I had some candy. My department at work ALWAYS has candy out - it doens't matter the season. And maybe I had some more candy.....So, I tried to get back on track for lunch, but we were at a diner and everyone knows all diners are good for is their greasy hamburgers. To comprise with my angel on one shoulder and devil on the other, I settled for a Crispy Chicken Salad. There. I am back on track. Sort of. My co-worker and I went to the grocery to buy (gasp!) candy to refill another department's candy dish. We stole their candy earlier today and were feeling bad so we decided to replace it. Well, then I had to try the candy. I had 3 mini candy bars and some candy-corn pumpkins! Rememeber that salad? Yeah, I was still hungry! So, I had some more pumpkins and NOW I am so hyper. :) Hopefully my sugar high will last me through my P90x workout! Or, I could eat more candy to keep it going. ha jk :)
