Night Ranger opened for them. I had never heard of them - but they were defiintely still living in the 80s. Complete with headbanging, sleeveless denim shirts, long nappy hair, cheesy facial expressions and jumping off of things on the stage all the while playing their guitar and swinging it in the air. How do they take themselves seriously? We were laughing the whole time.
Journey was awesome. They played for almost 2 hours and just when I thought it was over, they busted out with this song....
Oh, it was amazing. I have watched this video over and over and over again! :) We didn't get back hom until almost 2am Wednesday night so let's just say Thursday and Friday were a blur from lack of sleep. :)
The weekend was very busy as well. We did housework on Saturday and a whole bunch of nothin. It was very nice being busy doing absolutely nothing! :) Well, we went to the grocery and a surprise birthday - that counts as something, right!? :)
Sunday we went to church and then started our golf lessons! yea! I have huge ginormous blisters on my thumbs. Ewww....good thing our next lesson isn't until Saturday morning! We had so much fun and I got to use my new clubs! I love them! :)
After the lessons we ran home, showered and met some friends for dinner at PF Changs. Rebecca, the wife, went to Baylor! AND she's from Texas, too! yea! :) Rebecca and Steven are such a sweet couple - we always have so much fun with them!
Now it is Monday and that means work time. blah. So, did yall guess how Journey found their current lead singer!? They found him on YouTube singing cover songs of Journey! How crazy..he is actually pretty good. So there is your fun fact for the day! :)
