Day 4/5/6 of Beaver Creek

Day 4 of the trip was Thanksgiving Day and it was unlike any other Thanksgiving ever! Instead of waking up early to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, eat homemade cinnamon rolls and start cooking, I got up at 8am to get ready for snowboarding lessons! Spencer and I decided to try snowboarding after two days of skiing. My shins were KILLING me from skiing and snowboarding boots are so much more comfortable. Kaley, Spencer and I took private lessons from our cousin-in-law Bill - we met him on this trip!

We came in early to go to Thanksgiving dinner at this fun restuarant - complete with a Thanksgiving buffet! I can proudly say for the first Thanksgiving I did not over-eat! yeah! :) Maybe that was part due to the fact that I couldn't taste anything because my dumb allergies I had going on all week. I hadn't had allergies that bad since we lived in Waco. I mean this was the dizziness, eyes itching and watering, sneezing, coughing, stuffy nose - oh I felt terrible - BUT I did not miss a day of snowboarding! :)

We went snowboarding again on Day 5, but just Spencer and I and Bill. We even went down one of the runs! I was pretty proud of myself actually.

we look like professionals don't we!? hahaha Day 6 (Saturday) we decided not to snowboard or ski. We were both pretty sore and our legs felt like jello from heel-sliding down the side of the mountain. We went with the whole crew to eat lunch and then shop in Edwards, which is maybe 10 minutes outside of Beaver Creek.
The last day (Sunday) we had to leave :( We flew out of Denver and saw one of Spencer's friends from college there! So random! :)
Overall, it was such a fun vacation! The type of vacation that you get really rested and refreshed!
I will post more pictures...and of the wedding we went to in Waco! :) Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
