Valentine's Day!

This weekend is Valentine's! Yay! I didn't know this but the holiday was established by Pope Gelasius I in 496 AD and was named after a Christian martyr named Valentine. The U.S. Greeting Card Association says that over 1 billion valentines are sent each year worldwide! Holy cow! How crazy is that.

I love Valentine's Day! Maybe because I love every holiday but maybe because red is my favorite color and I love seeing all the red and pink candy bags in the store. My favorite candy for Valentine's Day is the Russel Stover's heart-shaped box of chocolates. Oh my gosh. My mouth is watering already. haha We typically don't do much for Valentine's - nothing out of the ordinary. Although, on February 16, 2007 Spencer proposed! So I guess that kinda counts as Valentine's Day?

We are celebrating our Valentine's Day tonight! Spencer was so sweet and actually asked me for a date! haha I loved it! I mean we go on dates a lot, but he actually took the time to ask me if I was available for tonight to go out! We are going to one of our favorite restaurants, Bonefish Grill, and I already know what I am getting! Bang Bang Shrimp please! Oh it is the best! It is a sweet / spicy flavor and it is amazing. After dinner I think we are going to try to catch a movie. We'll see.
