Washington D.C.

Can I just say I am a blogging machine tonight!? Look at me go! :)

So this past weekend we went to D.C.! I had never been before but Spencer had been once before when he was 12. We met Spencer's parents, sister and brother and his wife. His sister, Kaley, was singing at the National Guard Youth convention so we all decided to come! We did everything and let me tell you - I was so worn out, forget the fact I am pregnant.

We experienced the public transportation system, whicch let me tell you, I have never wanted to punch someone more than that night, went to the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Holocasut Museum, drove by the Black...umm I mean White House and Washington Monument, National Archives, Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Museum of American History, ate at Old Ebbitt Grill, Smithsonian Air & Space Museum at Dulles Airport and the one downtown, National Aquarium, Ford Theatre, Union Station, toured the Capitol Building, saw the Supreme Court and Library of Congress.
Vietnam Memorial
One of my favorites from the weekend! Our friend Dan, who is in med school at Duke but doing his internship study at National Institute of Health in Bethesda this semester, met up with us every day we were there! We got to meet his gf who is SO fun and sweet!

THE Declaration of Independence - yes the actual, real, one signed by THE John Hancock, THE Thomas Jefferson, THE founding fathers. HOW COOL IS THAT.

Maybe this is my favorite picture....haha :) At the Museum of Natural History
