Mini High School Reunion

So Saturday of Mother's Day weekend (yes I know I am SO way late in posting this), we went to two of my high school friends' wedding in in Waco. Michael and Rebecca dated for a short time in high school and then later in college and after. It was seriously like a high school reunion. Our group of high school friends was/is like any other group of high school friends I know. There was about 15 or so us that all ran around together and we were all such good friends. Even after we graduated, we would still get together over the holidays and go on day trips together. One of my favorites was "Goebel Bowl." This was a huge flag football game with all of our friends the day after Thankgiving that was held in an empty lot next to Paul Goebel's house, hence the name Goebel Bowl. We made t-shirts every year and everything! haha

So, all that to say, the wedding and reception was SO much fun!

So, I think everyone knows my good friend, Christine, by now - she is the one that is pregnant as well, and her due date is 4 days ahead of me! We are with "Coach K". She was our 9th grade basketball coach and we all loved her SO much. In high school, she opened her home to have us over for a Bible Study every week and when we were in college she did another Bible Study with us in the summer. She was such a good mentor and dear friend.
And with Coach K again and Ambree! I have known Ambree since elementary school. Her family used to live down the street from us. We went to church together, played softbal and basketball together and our parents are still good friends!
And here is Christine and I again. The reception was so beautiful. She had it in her parents' backyard in the country and covered the dance floor and tables with a huge white tent. There were white Christmas lights and candles everywhere. It really was beautiful!

OK, so funny story. I knew Jered in high school. I met him through Christine and he started going to church where are group of friends went so he got to know all of us really well. His wife, Ali, even went to our high school! OK, so one day Spencer and I were talking about high school, etc. and Jered's name came up. Spencer and Jered used to be high school team roping partners and were actually really good friends! So, of course we all had to catch up at the wedding.

Everybody now...awwwww. haha just kidding :)

And the happy couple!

So, what's so fun is now some of us that lost touch in college are now trying to get back together! At least for dinner or something! yay!
Something else fun, at the wedding I saw Allison and Adrienne - identical twins that I went to high school with! I couldn't tell them apart in high school and I can't tell them apart now! ha! :) Yay for our boys being identical! :)
