33 Weeks Doctor Update

So, this week's appointment was kinda shocking. First off, Spencer couldn't come because he had training for work. He has never missed an appointment so I was bummed he couldn't come, but that was just how it worked out. Second of all, my doctor was out with an infection! He's going to be out all week! ( Boys - please don't come this week!) And lastly, the nurse practitioner and my doctor's OB nurse put me on bedrest. Last week I had dilated 1 cm. This week I had dilated to 2 cm and effaced 75%. (Sorry if that is gross to you). The effacement is what worried them the most, so bedrest.

Other than that, the appointment went really well. The boys are doing good and moving around and breathing as they should and I only gained 1 lb so I have no hit the 30 lb mark. Agh! :)

I'll tell ya, this bedrest thing is hard. I am very independant and the nurse prac. and nurse told me only to get up to eat at the table, go to the bathroom and to shower. I just feel so bad asking people to bring me water or fix my meals, or do laundry, etc. especially when Spencer works all day and I have been laying around the house all day. I am really working on this because I know I have to for the boys.

So, here is my 33 week picture that I took myself! I used the self timer on the camera! haha

I only have a few clothing items that I can still wear. So, from now on, I will always be wearing those white shorts in my pictures and a tank top. haha Mostly I wear Spencer's clothes - his shirts fit but his athletic shorts are pretty tight...so Spencer's mom found me a pair of knit shorts from Motherhood Maternity to wear around the house! Yay! They are a tad bit snug but are still comfortable and they are an XL!

I am still really achy and get up about every 2 hours at night. I have trouble falling asleep some nights so I just try to take an extra long nap the next day. :)

I think we have everything ready for the boys if they were to come today. (knock on wood they don't). We have the cribs, diapers, swings, bouncers, clothes, and a whole bunch of other baby stuff that has taken over the house. :)

Yay babies! I can't wait to meet them!!!
