For Spencer's birthday, his parents, sister, brother and sister-in-law and his friend Matt and of course, me, went to Alama Drafthouse to see The Expendables. We did the same thing for my birthday! Alamo Drafthouse is so much fun...you order dinner/popcorn at the theatre and eat dinner while you watch the movie. We all loved the movie. It was a typical "guy" movie...lots of guns, explosions and awesome fighting scenes. Spencer loved the movie and we all had a good time. I brought my camera but I forgot to take pictures...
Spencer's mom and I decorated the whole house with balloons and banners and streamers. I really wanted his birthday to be a good one...
Cory and Brooke, Spencer's brother and sister-in-law, stayed the weekend with us. We went shopping on Saturday and on Sunday we went to Cooper's BBQ in Llano. Thanks to Peggy and my sweet PGA TOUR friends for the gift card Spencer and I got to use! This place seriously has the best BBQ I have ever eaten.
Today, Spencer got his birthday cake! My parents came in town today to hang out and after dinner Spencer got his favorite...NY Cheesecake with cherry topping. Oh, it was so good. Now the bad thing is we are stuck with a whole cheesecake. Yeah, we are going to have to throw it away or we will eat the whole thing. Not good....or is it? ha.
I love how you celebrate together and that you and Spencer are pressing into joy... with God and with each other. God bless you sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteSpencer has the same birthday as me! Glad it was a good Friday the 13th for both of us... my 13th birthday was actually on Friday the 13th- and it was great too! :)
