How Many Points is That?

No, I am not referring to how many points you get for making a half court shot in the NCAA Tournament (which is still 3 by the way). March Madness is a whole other post. I have started Weight Watchers! WHAT!? Yes, I have. I'm going to be the next Jennifer Hudson, complete with an amazing voice. Not really. But I am determined to lose weight.

I would never put myself in the fat category or even plump or fluffy, just poochy. I'm just carrying around a few extra pounds that I gained after Spencer and I got married and then the boys...oh they did a number on my stomach. I have a stomach of mush. Then Girl Scout cookie time came around and I gained 3 pounds....yes 3 pounds and I blame it all on the 4 box of cookies I ate. Whoops...Won't do that again.

Anyway, I started Weight Watchers March 14th and weighed in at 156.8. I weighed in this Monday and I am at 154.4! Woohoo! :) Weight Watchers really is a great life program. I don't feel like it is a diet, more of an awareness of how wrong I had been eating. It teaches you about portion control and eating lots of fruit and veggies, which I am learning to like. haha :) I am not expecting to lose 2 pounds every week but I do hope it remains steady.

In addition to WW, I'm doing Spin class 3x a week and doing P90x weights videos - so that works out to about 3x - 4x a week of lifting. Hopefully that will help! :)

Wish me luck! hehe

  1. Hey Emily!

I've been on WW for 6 months and have lost 25 pounds. It is such a great program! I agree with you, it's definitely not a diet, but just a change in your eating habits and lifestyle. Good luck!
