It just so happens that a friend of Spencer and I's, Luke, has his birthday the day before mine. So what better way to celebrate? A lake weekend with our friends!! Spencer and I went out Friday night to hang out just the two of us, and Bailey of course. :) Saturday morning and early afternoon we just hung out and caught up on TV and worked out. It was so relaxing!
Everyone arrived late Saturday afternoon and we immediately went out on the boat to wakeboard, tube and surf! It was a little cold outside so the water was freezing! Saturday night we went to my absolute favorite sushi place. It was amazing, as usual, and then of course we went to Tutti Fruiti right next door. THEN, we came back and ate cookie cake. haha It was definitely a food weekend! I think we stayed up until 2am or something crazy like that. I hadn't stayed up that late in a LONG time.
Sunday morning, Luke made us have a photo shoot. Like made us. We had just gotten back from The Bluebonnet Cake for breakfast. I had a piece of Chocolate Mousse pie for breakfast. It was delicious. :) They are known for their pies so I just HAD to get a piece. :) We were all full and he goes ok, photo shoot outside. No one had showered. We were stuffed. And he wanted a photo shoot. OK, fine Luke, because you are our friend. We didn't even take any pictures Saturday night and we were all dressed up! Oh, well. So, here is our photo shoot....Don't laugh. :)
The CW photo shoot, as Luke called it...haha |
My actual birthday was pretty low key. I did some stuff around the house, went to a neat furniture store, got tons of calls and messages and notes, and then we went to our favorite Mexican food place, Maudies. After dinner we went to see Bridesmaids. It was pretty bad. Very crude and kinda slow. Some parts were funny, though! When we got home it was like 10pm and I realized I had not had any birthday cake! What kind of a birthday is it without birthday cake!? So, Spencer took me to HEB to pick out a cake...I ended up with a chocolate cake with oreo creme icing. SO GOOD! and a perfect way to end a wonderful birthday!
