Flinging the Green & Gold!

Yay for Baylor Homecoming! This was probably one of the most fun weekends we have had in such a long time! We absolutely love Baylor Homecoming! And, this year was our first Homecoming married! We hadn't been in five years because of living in Florida and last year Spencer and I had to work at a Parade of Homes for his work. Not this year! We did everything we possibly could! :)

Friday we went to the bonfire held in the center of campus. There was a huge pep rally with our President, the football team, band and cheerleaders. It was so much fun!

Paul and Beth...such dear friends! Just missing Beth's fiance, Paul's wife Angela and Allan and Betsy!

the bonfire...after it turned into a campfire...
After the bonfire, we went to Pigskin, which is pretty much a mini 8-minute Broadway performance put on by student organizations at Baylor. Tri Delta (my sorority) placed 3rd! :) It didn't start until 10:30 so we didn't get home until after 1am! It was worth it, though! :)

Saturday we went to the Homecoming parade that runs through campus. It is the largest Homecoming parade in the country!
Sic Em!
A tradition at Baylor as a student is going to Dr Pepper Hour every Tuesday in the Student Union Building for Dr Pepper floats. These floats aren't like any floats you have ever had....they are like the consistency of a frosty but taste like foamy Dr Pepper and vanilla ice cream all rolled into one. After the parade, they were serving Dr Peper floats!! I was SO excited! They were SO good. SO good I had to have two! :)
Enjoying our floats with Sarah

Britni's son Hunter...he did not want his picture taken!

Sweet friend!

The Tri Delt/Phi Chi float! We won first place in Class B!
After the parade, we had lunch with Britni and Tim and Hunter at our favorite sandwich place in Waco. Then it was soon time for the game and tailgating! :)

Sweet Holly! I had missed seeing her!
Sunday, we celebrated our friend Christie's birthday! Guess what she wanted for her birthday lunch!? Thanksgiving dinner! It was AMAZING! Thank you Christie! hehe :)

Homecoming was so much fun! We got to see so many people we hadn't seen in a while and catch up with some great friends. We are so thankful for our time and Baylor and wouldn't trade it for anything!
