Weeks 20 - 26 Updates

So, it has been a while since I last posted about the baby. Time really has seemed to fly by but at the same time it has gone by so slow. I can't believe I am 26 weeks pregnant, but then I think "Wow, I am only 26 weeks." At least I am over halfway there!

My 20-Week appointment went really well. We had our final ultrasound of the pregnancy, granted that all continues to go well. This really bummed me out! With the boys, we got to have an ultrasound every single appointment! They found that the baby is growing just right and that the baby was measuring two weeks ahead in length! We could have a tall little baby on our hands! We also found out we are having a girl, which confirmed what we already thought we knew! We have named her Maddison Ruth and we'll call her Maddi. Our doctor thinks he is such a hoot. When going over the gender he says, "Well, I have some bad news. Your baby is missing a penis." We got a good laugh out of that. Oh, our doctor! haha :)

Week 20, just before my doctor's appointment
Spencer was out of town pretty much the entire week I turned 21 weeks. As you can see from my 20-week picture, I was barely showing. So much to Spencer's surprise when he came home, he found my stomach had popped out quite a bit! I was pretty much the same size weeks 21 and 22 so my 22-Week picture kinda gives you an idea of how much I popped!

Week 22 I was officially in maternity clothes. I could still squeeze into some of my jeans, but was more comfy in maternity jeans.

Overall, I am feeling great and really have no complaints. Carrying one baby is a breeze! :) Every now and then Maddi will decide she wants to hang out under my ribs but other than that I have been pretty comfortable. Maddi is also very active. It is so cool getting to feel her move all around. When she was smaller I could feel her doing a somersault. :) With the boys, I couldn't feel them move around as much because they didn't have as much room. I felt all their punches and kicks and movements, but never their somersaults or any big movement like that....so I am enjoying the differences.

Our Creator is so amazing that He would allow us to experience such a miracle of life growing inside of us! I am continually blown away by God's unending and unwavering love for us. He gave His only Son to die for us on the cross so that we might ALL have life eternally with Him, if we only believe and accept Him as our Savior. What grace. What a blessing. Being pregnant has really taught me so much about who God is...and I am so thankful for that!

My next appointment is at 28 weeks...my start of the 3rd trimester and 2 days before December! Yay! :)

  1. Love that you are spelling it with two d's like mine, but I am going to warn you...Good luck finding anything monogrammed with two d's unless you order it!
