Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! haha (no I am not a tree hugger)

I love Googles little pictures! :)

So, when you get a chance, read:
http://http//www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,517228,00.html

It is a really good article. We need more people like Carrie to stand up for what they know and believe to be right. The homesexuals/athesiest/etc. voice their opinion on their beliefs every chance they get. Why do they think that we don't have the right to express our beliefs? Carrie is getting slammed by the media and by some celebrities for her comment on gay marriage. Some say her belief cost her her crown. I just don't get it. Seriously, people.
What do yall think? Is the media taking this overboard??? Like the new blue!? :) I thought I'd shake things up a bit!

Dawn Johnsen

How can anyone believe that a gift and miracle from God can be paralleled to slavery? That forcing women to bear children was "disturbingly suggestive of involuntary servitude prohibited by the 13th Amendment"? See article : http://http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/04/04/obama-judicial-nominee-faces-republican-opposition-supporting-abortion-rights/

Dawn Johnsen is President Obama's nominee to head the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel. I am in shock. Call it me being naive, but I do not understand her thought process. Why do people so feel entitled to their own views of life and of their own life, when their very being, the very breath they breathe, is from God? That he holds our life in His hands? That we would not exist without him?

I understand that unplanned pregancy happens. I understand that not everyone wants to be a parent. I do know that there are many, many families out there who are willing to adopt an unwanted child and love him/her as their own. I know there are alternatives to abortion. What I don't understand is people who are so selfish they only think of themselves, not of their child - planned or not.

There, I'm stepping off my soap box.
On a lighter note, my brother is coming on Friday! yea!

Just another Monday

So, my Baylor Bears aren't going dancing...I knew they wouldn't make the tournament but I had some hope...oh well. There's always next year right...? The women will definitely be going to the tournament, probably as a 1 or 2 seed....guess we'll find out tonight!

So the weekend went by SO fast. When does a weekend every go by slow? The weeks always drag on and the weekends fly by. All day Saturday we cleaned the house. Talk about major Spring cleaning. I actually don't mind cleaning. I like seeing the end result and how your house goes from being all dirty and icky to sparkly clean! I almost ate dinner off the floor....not really. We watched the Baylor men choke againest Mizzou then went to Dick's Sporting Goods. We had a GC there and I got a new running outfit. Oh, SO cute! :) I am obsessed with workout clothes.

Sunday was church, of course. We love our new church and the new friends we have made there. It's so comforting to feel a part of something and to have a group of friends to do things with. We went to McAlister's after church with our Sunday School class. Yes, we have a McAlister's in Jacksonville! Oh, I was so excited when I found out! :)

The pastor made a comment while he was preaching during his sermon and I would love some thoughts/feedback on what he said. He said that all 10% of our Tithes should go to our home church. I definitely agree that you should tithe 10%, but does it ALL have to go to your home church? For example, what if you wanted to send 1% to your church from your college town or 1% to your church from back home - in our case Texas? He said it was biblically based but I haven't been able to find the scripture. Anyways, I was just curious! :)

Have a happy Monday!
