July 4th Weekend

Happy (Late) 4th of July! :) This weekend was Spencer's first weekend after starting his new job. He really, REALLY likes it, so that is a huge blessing! Poor thing spent all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday working on our new house. I think he said it was a total of 19 hours - he was pulling wires for speakers, TV's and a whole bunch of other AV equipment that I have no idea what it is, but Spencer said we need it. :) His new job is coming in handy because they told him all how to pull the wire and will give us a good deal on speakers and other A/V stuff when we move in!

My parents came in Sunday morning for the holiday and I didn't even take one picture. When they came in we brought Spencer lunch to the house and gave my parents a grand tour of our house. Now, my mom is known for her cooking. She is an amazing cook. Since I am on house arrest, she brought all this food for us to have. When I say food, she brought enough for the rest of the year - almost. She brought chicken salad sandwiches, homemade peach cobbler, homemade peanut butter chocolate cheesecake, fresh skillet corn, potato salad, deviled eggs, homemade banana nut muffins, chicken spaghetti for us to freeze, sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwiches for us to freeze, bacon, trail mix and I know there is more stuff I just can't remember. Needless to say we have a ton of food. :)

Here is a picture of the fireworks we didn't see - but I had to have apicture of the fireworks! We watched the fireworks from the dock and then inside the kitchen when we couldn't wait any longer for our peach cobbler. :)

Monday was a very relaxing day. We went to the pool for a few hours and then tried to find a place to eat lunch. Marble Falls, town of 5000, didn't have too many places that were open! We settled on a bakery in town known for their bread. It was so good! After lunch we went to Fresh N Fruiti. YUM! It is a frozen yogurt place that is self-serve and they ahve 12 different choices of yogurt with a huge toppings bar. So basically you pay by the ounce.

Ok, so I lied. I took one picture of Bailey DESTROYING a toy my parents brought her. haha

I'm glad my parents came to visit...we had such a good time!
