I love Christmas! We've had our house decorated for Christmas since November 1! Yay! This time of year is so happy and festive and so full of hope! I am so thankful for the gift of everlasting life through Jesus! We are so blessed in so many ways. To God be ALL the Glory!
“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” - Luke 2:16-20
Below are a few of my favorite Christmas decorations in our house!
Our beautiful Christmas lights! :) Next year, we want to add more along the top of the porch!
And our Nativity scene..I want to leave this up year round! If you look, you can see we have 2 extra babies in our manger. :) We were at the Hallmark store one day looking for an ornament and Spencer saw these two Willow Tree babies. He wanted to get them and I thought it could be awkward for people having in our house. He said well, let's put them in the Nativity scene! I was like, ummm why? His response - so amazing - because our boys are with Jesus and they belong in the Nativity scen with Jesus! So, there they are. :)
Thanks to everyone who sent us Christmas cards! I love putting them out each year!
I LOVE having the lit garland up the stairway...I'm going to be so sad to take it down!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!
I hope you and your families have a wonderful Christmas and remember to celebrate the TRUE meaning of Christmas this year! It's not about the gifts, the food, the decorations, but that God loved each and every one of us SO much that He sent His son to the Earth to die on the cross to forgive our sins so that we may have eternal life with Him in Heaven!
oh emily! Thats the sweetest thing ever! I love your nativity and that there are 2 sweet babies in it! Thinking of you guys & your family! Love you friend! Brooke
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty Christmas house and your thoughtsful thoughts Emily. Yes, your babies are there worshiping our Jesus for sure. How sweet that Spencer thought to place them in the nativity to honor their Savior and yours. Love it! I liked your Christmas cake balls too. How fun.
