It is amazing, and so comforting, to know 100% that God knows exactly what we need and when we need it. Sometimes I disagree (like I did today), but God showed me today that even though I think He is "wrong" in His plan, He is ultimately right. Today was kinda rough, not bad rough, just sad if that makes sense. I was out running errands all day and kept seeing babies or pregnant women and it just reminded me of our boys. Some days I can see 10 million babies or pregnant women and be fine, other days, like today, it just gets me for some reason. When I went to go check the mail, we had a PILE. I forget to go to the box to check sometimes. :) I had two letters waiting for me from two dear friends - Audrey, who I have known since 7th grade and Emily, my college roommate. In Audrey's letter she said she walked in her bedroom and there laying on the floor, was a picture of the two of us from high school. No clue as to how it got there. She said it prompted her to say a prayer for us and to write the most encouraging note - God knew I would need that note today. Emily sent a beautiful ornament with the boys' names engraved on it. She lost a child as well and someone had done that for her. It was so special and again, God knew I would need her support - support that she knows how to give because sadly, she knows how I feel.
It is such a blessing how God places people in our lives for different reasons. And it is even more amazing how He uses the people in our lives for special purposes to minister to us. What a challenge that is to me, and to all, to be more willing to serve God in any way He calls us, so that we can show someone else how much God truly cares for us.
It is so refreshing to know that God is so intricately intertwined in the little things that make the big things a little easier on days like today. :)
