Beaver Creek 2011

The week of January 16th, Spencer's parents took the family to go skiing/snowboarding at Beaver Creek, CO. We went there for Thanksgiving 2009 and we had such a great time his parents wanted to take us back! Spencer and I went, along with his parents and his brother Cory and his wife Brooke. Kaley, the youngest sibling, couldn't go because she had just gotten this amazing job at Baylor and couldn't take off. We were there the full week and basically just hung out. I got to read the new John Grisham book and we all got a lot of relaxing in.

At the shops in Vail...it was blowing snow SO hard! We were only there for like 30 minutes because we were all so miserable. Beaver Creek is about 20 minutes up the road from Vail so we went there a few times for a change in scenery.

Sic Em!

This is one night after dinner as were walking back to the condo in Beaver Creek.

Snowshoeing! It was so beautiful and peaceful. I absolutely love the Aspen trees!

The view at the end of our snowshoe trail.

and testing to see how deep the snow was :) Which was deeper than it looked! I kept sinking. :) When we got down to the bottom of the mountain it was 12 degrees. Who knows how cold it was where we were up the mountain!

Over all it was a really good trip, minus the 17-hour car ride. :)
