Bringing Our Daughter Home

Getting the green light to go home is one of the most exciting things a new parent can hear, but for us, along with the excitement, it was kinda scary and a "welcome to the real world" reality check! No more nurses to answer questions or to help with nursing or take care of you, no more hospital room service. It's all on you! :)

We got to leave the hospital on Thursday afternoon around 1:00pm so we were in the hospital for about 2 days.

Ready and waiting in the room to leave

and we're off!

Saying bye at the nurses station

She did great on the ride home. Not one peep out of her! I sat in the back and made sure she didn't get lonely. :)

When we pulled up several of our neighbors came out and met Maddison. They had noticed we hadn't been around for a few days and when they say us pull up they came running over.
We're home!

I can't believe we brought so much stuff...

When we got home, Bailey was anxiously waiting for us. We hadn't seen her in 2 days so we were missing her a lot, too! :) Spencer went in first and calmed her down enough to meet Maddi. I don't think she knew what to do with her...she just kinda stared at her at first, then went towards us wanting to play.

After Maddi met Bailey, we took her all over the house and gave her a tour of the house. :)
